Assessment as the usual starting point
A consulting engagement normally opens with a structured assessment: identity and access, Microsoft 365 or cloud tenancy configuration, endpoint and patch posture, network topology and edge security, backup coverage with restore evidence, application landscape, licensing position and vendor dependencies.
The output is a written findings document with severity, effort and sequence — not a slide deck of generic recommendations. It should be specific enough that another competent provider could execute it. That is deliberate: the value is in the analysis, and tying it to our own delivery would compromise the advice.

Architecture and modernisation
Modernisation rarely means replacing everything. More often it means identifying the two or three components that are constraining everything else — an ageing on-premises server holding a single application, a flat network that prevents segmentation, an identity model that blocks conditional access — and dealing with those first.
We work through options with trade-offs made explicit: what each path costs to build, what it costs to run, what risk it removes, what it introduces, and what it commits you to. Recommendations name a preferred option rather than leaving a menu on the table.

- Do you need administrative access to our systems?
